It's about Time

I made the Tori pendant in gold for a customer. It's pretty cute in gold and i hope that my customer thinks so too!

We went on another road trip to Canberra, where the temperature dropped to -4C! For us Sydney siders it's really cold! Brrrrr! there was a thick frost on the car and we almost didn't recognize it!

'The Apprentice' & I went on a road trip

My daughter & i went on a road trip to our usual vacation place.... down the South Coast of New South Wales. Just a 4-5 hour drive south of Sydney via the coast road past Woolongong. The apprentice (my daughter) took these photos.

It was pouring with rain and we were stuck in traffic. It was going at snails pace for a while and our dog 'Dany', who loves to go on road trips, was getting a little "...are we there yet...???" only in dog-speak... (heh heh)

When we finally got moving in traffic, the skies cleared up just around Ulladulla. After that it was a breeze downto Bateman's Bay. We stay just a few minutes south of there at a beautiful little 'secret' beach, so i'm not telling where ... as it is so quiet and clean. We met the rest of the gang there. The house we stay in is rght across from the beach and sleeps 14!!! Well, this time we were only 10!

Finally Some Time To Write

I have finally made some time to write and the first thing i can think of to write is about how our space got flooded! Yes, what a hassle! It was because when the local council upgraded (hah!) the footpath, the contractors damaged some stormwater pipes and did not fix them, so all the water from the rains (and they were hefty rains!)found a way down into my studio & especially into the 'waiting room'. mr. mettle was bucketing water for 2 hours (approx 50 buckets)and it still wouldn't stop pouring in through a telephone company conduit...

I now have the awful task of claiming all the damage. And wouldn't you know it, I can't find the receipt for the wool rug that we had to throw out. The whole place has had a musty smell and I have had to have some fans going constantly to move the air around.

My tools are getting rusty.

And now I have to come up with some new pieces. perhaps they should be about rust. Don't know yet. There are alot of factors to consider.

Some Great Things I have Purchased!

Well, I haven't really been at the computer much of late, as I have been incredibly busy with the making of jewelry and also Mr. Mettle has been away for a month in Russia. And wow what an interesting trip that was!

I bought a gocco from this great seller on etsy.
The 'apprentice and I decided that it was high time to try something new. She made these cute prints with the gocco.
